Child and ADOLESCENT Clinic
The CLA now offers specialised psychoanalytic treatment for children and adolescents. We welcome any referrals from individuals or health professionals. Child and Adolescent psychoanalysts working with the CLA are bound by the ethical codes of the Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand and the requirements for working with vulnerable people.

Dr Kaye Cederman works in private practice as a psychoanalyst. She is a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin. A Registered Practitioner member of the New Zealand Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (NZIPP), the Association of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, Ireland (APPI), with a special interest in the Lacanian Child and Adolescent Clinic. Kaye is registered with the Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ), a member cartel of the Lacanian School, and on the executive of the
Centre for Lacanian Analysis (CLA), Aotearoa New Zealand. Kaye is published in the areas of philosophy, social and feminist theory, childhood psychosis, and early childhood pedagogy. Most recently; “Left to their own Devices? Child psychoanalysis and the psycho-technologies of consumer capitalism” in Lacanian Psychoanalysis with Babies, Children and Adolescents, Karnac. Kaye is also an artist.

Oliver is the current holder of the CLA clinical placement at AUT University and is studying a Master in Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents. He has a sustained and focused interest in psychoanalytic theory, both in its clinical application and in the arts and humanities. He previously studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with Honours, at the University of Auckland. Oliver shows, through his commitment to a dual training at Auckland University of Technology and the Centre for Lacanian Analysis’ four-year clinical training in psychoanalysis, his desire to work professionally with the concerns of children and adolescents.
The way in which children and adolescents interact with movies, TV, stories, books, video games, interactive technologies and, of course, art are a particular clinical focus for Oliver.
Oliver is able to offer sessions at a reduced fee to children and adolescents in his clinical placement at the Centre for Lacanian Analysis and can be contacted via email or phone.
